Adeleke Urges Osun Voters to Protect Ballots in Election

On Saturday, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke cast his vote at Sagba Abogunde Ward 2, Unit 9, in Ede North Local Government Area, arriving at approximately 8:32 a.m. He was accredited by the Presiding Officer at 8:35 a.m.

After voting, Adeleke urged eligible voters to participate actively in the election, emphasizing its significance for the state's governance over the next four years. He called for vigilance to protect votes and urged voters to remain at polling units to monitor the electoral process, in line with guidelines from the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Adeleke expressed concerns about alleged attempts by police to disrupt the election and reported that some supporters were intimidated in Modakeke. He appealed to the Inspector-General of Police to remove a specific officer accused of planning to interfere with the election.

Despite these concerns, Adeleke remained optimistic about a peaceful and credible election.
