Osun Monarchs Endorse Pelumi Olajengbesi for 2027 Election

The Ijesa North Traditional Rulers Council in Osun State publicly endorsed lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi for the 2027 House of Representatives election. This endorsement occurred during a town hall meeting held at the council's headquarters in Iloko Ijesa on Thursday.

The council, led by Oba Olufemi Agunsoy of Ijebu Ijesa, expressed confidence in Olajengbesi's capabilities to represent the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in the National Assembly. The meeting was attended by traditional rulers, community leaders, and Olajengbesi's wife, who also declared support for his candidacy.

Olajengbesi, who is set to turn 40 in August, previously contested for the same seat in 2019 but was unsuccessful against the incumbent, Wole Ok, of the All Progressives Congress. He emphasized the need for vibrant youth representation and pledged to provide effective representation and pursue programs that promote development across the constituency in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
