NNPP Chairman Dr. Tosin Odeyemi Joins DLA Leadership

Dr. Tosin Odeyemi has resigned from his position as the chairman of the Osun State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and has been appointed as the acting chairman of the newly registered Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA).

His resignation was communicated in a letter dated July 16, 2026, addressed to the national chairman of the NNPP, although the reasons for his departure were not disclosed. Following his resignation, Dr.

Odeyemi was publicly unveiled by former Kano State Governor Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso on July 17, 2026, as the pioneer acting state chairman of the DLA in Osun State.

The appointment was confirmed in a letter signed by the DLA's national chairman, Samuel Memeh. Dr.

Odeyemi is tasked with building and strengthening the party's structure across Osun State, which includes establishing and maintaining party structures and upholding the party's constitutional ideology.
