DLA to Endorse Party Based on Integrity for Osun Election

The Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA) announced its intention to endorse a political party that demonstrates integrity and competence for the upcoming governorship election in Osun state, scheduled for August 15. Samuel Memeh, the national chairman of the DLA, made this statement during an official leadership visit to Osogbo on Wednesday.

He emphasized that the interests of the people of Osun state are the group's primary concern. The DLA is unable to field a governorship candidate because it was officially registered on February 5, 2026, after the electoral timetable and relevant guidelines had already taken effect, preventing compliance with statutory participation requirements.

Memeh reassured the citizens of Osun that the DLA is committed to supporting policies that foster economic development, quality education, modern healthcare, infrastructure, youth empowerment, agricultural development, and responsible governance. He indicated that the DLA is currently evaluating the political landscape and will make a principled decision on potential endorsements in due course.
