Hamzat Reaffirms Support for Adeleke, Denies APC Backing

Oriyomi Hamzat, affiliated with the Accord Party, publicly reaffirmed his support for Governor Ademola Adeleke's re-election bid scheduled for August 15 in Osun State. This statement came in response to a viral video that allegedly depicted him endorsing the APC candidate, Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.

Hamzat described the video as misleading and clarified that it was an old recording from June 21, 2025, during the inauguration of a fan club in Ikir Apomu, Ikoyi. He emphasized that at the time of the event, Oyebamiji had not secured the APC governorship ticket.

Hamzat criticized the use of the old footage, stating it was manipulated to create a false narrative about his political alignment. He urged the public to focus on the truth and not be deceived by propaganda that distorts facts for political gain, reiterating his commitment to support Adeleke's administration.
