Osun Rep Denies Links to Murder of Accord Party Member

Oluwol Ok, a member of the Osun State Governorship Campaign Council and affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC), denied allegations of involvement in the murder of Ajayi Aderogba, a member of the Accord Party, who was shot dead on Tuesday in Esa Oke, Obokun Local Government Area, Osun State. The incident occurred during preparations for a political rally supporting Governor Ademola Adeleke's second-term bid.

Pelumi Olajengbesi, a spokesperson for Adeleke's campaign organization, accused federal lawmakers, including Ok, of being behind the attack that led to Aderogba's death. In response, Ok issued a statement through his media aide, Tund Omolebi, dismissing the allegations as false and misleading.

He expressed shock over Aderogba's death and extended condolences to the deceased's family. Ok urged for a thorough investigation by relevant authorities and emphasized that neither he nor the APC had any connection to the incident, calling for respect for due process in matters involving loss of life.
