Woman Found Dead with Severed Hand in Osun Church

An unidentified woman was discovered dead inside a church premises in the Obelewo area of Osogbo, Osun State, with her left wrist reportedly severed. The Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, Ani Iniedu, stated that police detectives visited the scene following the body’s discovery.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the deceased had allegedly been slaughtered, and her left wrist was taken away by unknown individuals. The motive behind the killing and the circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear.

The corpse was taken to a hospital for further examination and deposited at the mortuary for autopsy. The State Command Investigation Department has initiated an investigation into the incident to establish the identity of the deceased and uncover more details regarding her death.
