Osun Workers Celebrate Adeleke’s Re-election Victory

On Monday, workers and pensioners in Osun State celebrated Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election at the state secretariat in Osogbo, viewing his victory as a reward for his administration’s favorable policies towards the workforce. The gathering turned festive, with attendees singing and dancing in jubilation.

Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Chairman in Osun, Comrade Christopher Arapasopo, stated that Adeleke’s victory reflected the goodwill he had built through welfare-oriented policies. He urged the governor to uphold his campaign promises and emphasized that the support from workers stemmed from the administration's attention to their welfare.

Arapasopo also declared that workers and pensioners in Osun would support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ambition for a second term in 2027. Trade Union Congress Chairman, Comrade Abimbola Fasasi, attributed Adeleke’s success to divine favor and called for increased commitment from workers in return for the administration's support, particularly regarding housing and minimum wage obligations.
