Adeleke Criticizes BVAS Delays and Voter Intimidation

Ademola Adeleke, the Osun State Governor and Accord Party governorship candidate, voiced his dissatisfaction regarding the ongoing governorship election. He reported that Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BIVAS) machines were malfunctioning and operating slowly at several polling units.

Adeleke alleged that voters were facing intimidation from thugs, particularly in Olorunda and Irewole Local Government Areas, naming a man identified as Enuku as a key instigator. He stated, “Right now, there are complaints that BIVAS are not working well.

I am not happy at all. The police are aiding the APC.

Enuku, the thug, is disturbing people.” He urged voters to remain calm and protect their ballots despite the disruptions, emphasizing the importance of voting. Adeleke expressed concerns about the conduct of security personnel in Olorunda and called for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to address the issues with the BIVAS machines.
