Adeleke Votes, Alleges Police Intimidation in Osun Election

On the day of the governorship election in Osun State, Governor Ademola Adeleke cast his vote at Unit 009, Ward 02, Agbogunde Sagba, in Ede North at approximately 8:30 a.m. Following his voting, he alleged that police personnel were tear-gassing voters in various locations, including Modakeke and Obaku, to deter them from participating in the election.

Adeleke accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of attempting to rig the election, claiming that some police officers were aiding the party rather than maintaining neutrality. He specifically mentioned a police officer nicknamed "London," allegedly deployed from Port Harcourt to disrupt the election in Ede.

Adeleke urged the Inspector-General of Police and other security agencies to investigate these allegations and ensure that security personnel remained impartial. Despite these claims, he expressed confidence in winning the election, stating, “I have God on my side, and I have my people on my side.
