Family Mourns Slain Army Officer in Oyo Rescue Operation

Lt. Felix Adem Isaac, a 28-year-old officer of the Nigerian Army, was killed on July 10, 2026, during a rescue operation in Oyo State aimed at securing the freedom of a teacher and pupils abducted from three schools on May 15, 2026.

Isaac was buried with full military honors at the 23rd Armoured Brigade Cemetery in Yola, Adamawa State. His father, retired Master Warrant Officer Isaac Alabura, expressed the family's devastation over the loss, highlighting their hopes for his future military career.
