Security Operatives Sacrifice Lives in Oyo Rescue Mission

Security operatives, including Lt. Felix Adem Isaac of the Nigerian Army, lost their lives during a rescue mission in Oyo State aimed at freeing abducted victims.

The operation, launched under the direction of President Bola Tinubu, was intelligence-driven and mobilized resources from security agencies for the unconditional release of the victims. Over the last 50 days, the operation culminated in the rescue of abducted pupils and teachers, the arrest of eight suspected terrorists, and the neutralization of several others.

However, it also resulted in the tragic death of Lt. Isaac, whose father, Isaac Alabura, expressed devastation over the loss.

Alabura noted that the military and Oyo State government had not officially briefed the family about the circumstances surrounding Isaac's death. Despite the tragedy, Alabura commended four retired senior military officers for ensuring his son's body was returned for burial in Yola, Adamawa State.

The family mourned the loss of a promising officer who had aspirations of rising in military rank.
