Governor Oyebanji Dissolves Political Appointments Ahead of Second Term

Governor Oyebanji announced the dissolution of various political appointments, including Special Assistants, Senior Special Assistants, and Technical Assistants, as his administration prepares to conclude its first term before the inauguration of his second term on October 16. This decision was communicated through a statement by Mr. Yinka Oyebode, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, in Ado-Ekiti.

Notably, chairmen and members of statutory boards were not affected by this dissolution. The exempted statutory bodies include the State Independent Electoral Commission, Civil Service Commission, House of Assembly Service Commission, and Judicial Service Commission.

Additionally, the chairmen of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Local Government Service Commission, and Teaching Service Commission will remain in office, although their respective boards have been dissolved. Directors-General and Technical Advisers are also exempt from termination.

Oyebanji expressed gratitude to the affected appointees for their contributions to his administration and wished them success in their future endeavors.
