Oyebanji Targets 700,000 Votes for Tinubu in 2027

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has set a target of securing between 600,000 to 700,000 votes for Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. Speaking to newsmen at the state house, Oyebanji expressed confidence in achieving this goal, citing the growth in electoral support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in recent elections.

He noted that in the 2022 governorship election, the APC received 187,000 votes, which increased to 210,000 in the presidential election, and he anticipates a further rise to 318,000 in the 2026 governorship poll. Oyebanji attributed his electoral success to divine grace and the support of President Tinubu, promising to run an inclusive administration during his second term.

He has already reached out to major opponents and expressed a commitment to cooperate with them for the development of Ekiti State. Oyebanji emphasized the importance of adhering to the state's 30-year development plan to guide governance and budget priorities.
