Oyebanji Reappoints Titilayo Olayinka as Accountant General

On Tuesday, Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State approved the immediate reappointment of Titilayo Olayinka as the Accountant General of the state, just a day after her retirement upon reaching the mandatory age of 60. The announcement was made by Yinka Oyebode, the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, in Ado Ekiti.

Olayinka previously served as Accountant General from November 28, 2019, to August 24, 2026. Her reappointment reflects Oyebanji's commitment to engaging experienced professionals in key positions as he prepares for his second term.

Olayinka is tasked with establishing a comprehensive training program for accountants in the State Civil Service. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA.

Olayinka has been credited with enhancing Ekiti State's fiscal management, achieving top rankings in various transparency indices, including BudgIT's State Fiscal Transparency League.
