Oyebanji Visits Freed Kidnap Victims, Thanks Tinubu

On Sunday, April 30, 2023, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji visited victims who were recently freed from kidnapping at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital in Ado Ekiti. The victims, who included women and children, were abducted during a church program on April 28, 2023, where a pastor was killed, and 16 worshippers were kidnapped.

Governor Oyebanji expressed his delight at the victims' release and commended the medical staff for their care. He stated that the state would cover all medical expenses incurred during their treatment and that the victims would receive psychological counseling for reintegration into their families.

Oyebanji thanked President Bola Tinubu for his support and acknowledged the efforts of security agencies, including the Eda Oniyo Progress Association and the Christian Association of Nigeria. He advised residents to refrain from politicizing security issues and emphasized the importance of safety for all Ekiti indigenes.
