Ekiti Monarch Celebrates Oyebanji's Historic Re-election

Oba Ayodel Obasoyin, the monarch of Iker Ekiti, congratulated Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his re-election, which he described as a divine ordination reflecting the governor's impressive performance in office. Oyebanji's re-election is seen as a testament to his achievements across key sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and human capital development.

He won a landslide victory in the June 20 governorship election, securing 177 wards across 16 local government areas in the state. The monarch expressed delight that Oyebanji became the first governor in Ekiti's history to be re-elected for a second consecutive term, a milestone that has not been achieved in nearly three decades.

Oyebanji also set several electoral milestones, including securing the highest number of votes ever recorded in Ekiti's electoral history. The monarch urged Oyebanji to strengthen security across communities in the state over the next four years to guard against threats such as bandit attacks and criminal activities.
