Oyetola and Adeigbe Honor Late Broadcaster Adeleke

On Friday, Adegboyega Oyetola, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and former Governor of Osun State, and Justice Kunle Adeigbe, a retired High Court Judge, honored the late Chief Adekunle Adeleke at his funeral service held at All Saints’ Church, Jericho, in Ibadan, Oyo State. Chief Adeleke, who passed away at the age of 82, was remembered as an icon and mentor in broadcasting.

Oyetola described him as a distinguished professional whose career in broadcasting and commitment to his community earned him a special place in the hearts of the people of Iragbiji. He recalled Adeleke’s significant contributions during the era of the Western Nigeria Television and Broadcasting Service.

Justice Adeigbe, who served as Adeleke's Confidential Secretary in 1975, praised him as a pioneer broadcaster and mentor, noting how Adeleke supported his educational pursuits and career transition from broadcasting to law.
