Sowore Blasts Tinubu Over Oyo Kidnapping Crisis

Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore criticized President Bola Tinubu for his inaction regarding the abduction of schoolchildren and a teacher in Oyo State. During a protest in Abuja, Sowore stated that Tinubu cannot claim to be president while neglecting his duties as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

He challenged security agencies to protect citizens rather than politicians and government officials. Sowore announced that protests would escalate if the kidnapped victims were not rescued, asserting that the government must ensure the safety of schoolchildren.

He emphasized that the presence of a significant number of police officers should be utilized to protect schools, highlighting the ongoing threat of kidnappings. Sowore declared that protests would commence on Thursday at Aso Rock if the children were not rescued, inviting Nigerians to join him in demanding accountability from the government.
