Oyo APC Chieftain Praises 3SC for CAF Cup Qualification

Kehind Olaosebikan, a chieftain of the Oyo APC and former chairman of the Oluyole Local Government, congratulated the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) for qualifying to represent Nigeria in the 2026/2027 CAF Confederation Cup. This qualification followed 3SC's third-place finish in the Nigeria Premier Football League, securing their spot in continental football for the next season.

Olaosebikan praised the support from the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, and the club chairman, Mr. Taiwo Lekan Salami, highlighting the importance of backing the team from across Oyo State.

He emphasized the need for stronger financial support to sustain the club's momentum as they prepare for the continental competition. Olaosebikan called on the Oyo State government and wealthy residents of Ibadan to provide adequate funding for the club's CAF Confederation Cup campaign, noting that 3SC is historically significant, having won the African Winners Cup in 1976.
