Oyo APC Stakeholders Agree on Zoning for 2027 Elections

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State have unanimously agreed on zoning arrangements to bolster the party's prospects for the 2027 elections. This resolution was made during a meeting held in Igboora, with a communique signed by Chief Franci Babalola, the chairman, and Chief T.

Aderenle, the secretary, along with 40 other leaders from Ibarapa North Local Government. The stakeholders asserted that the zoning structure is non-negotiable, citing widespread grassroots endorsement and the political realities of the state.

They warned that any attempts to alter this agreement could fracture party unity and undermine electoral success. The communique emphasized the importance of loyalty, grassroots acceptance, and transparency in the primary process, stating that candidates must meet clearly defined criteria.

The stakeholders expressed a firm view that overriding the zoning agreement would provoke resistance and weaken the party's standing among its core supporters.
