Oyo APC Stakeholders Praise Peaceful Congresses, Seek Zoning Review

Oyo APC stakeholders commended the peaceful conduct of recent congresses held across six local government areas in Oyo State. This acknowledgment was made during a quarterly meeting at the party's secretariat in Ibadan on Tuesday, signed by Kamorudeen Ajisafa, the chairman, and Buliaminu Ogundele, the secretary.

The stakeholders noted that despite previous concerns stemming from past congress experiences in 2018 and 2022, the recent congresses were conducted without incidents of violence across 351 wards in 33 local government areas. They congratulated former Deputy Governor Mose Adeyemo on his emergence as the new state chairman and pledged their support for his leadership.

However, they urged Adeyemo to address ongoing disagreements among local government stakeholders and appealed to the party's national leadership to review zoning arrangements, citing concerns over marginalization of Oyo State in national positions, particularly in the South West zonal executive committee.
