Oyo APC Stakeholders Demand Gbolagade's Candidacy Recognition

On Tuesday, Oyo APC stakeholders conducted a peaceful protest at the party's state secretariat in Ibadan, demanding the recognition of Hon. Abiodun Gbolagade as the candidate for the Oluyole Federal Constituency.

The protest followed the outcome of the party's primary elections, where Gbolagade was declared the winner with 2,000 votes, significantly ahead of the incumbent, Hon. Tolulop Akand-Sadipe, who received only 36 votes.

The demonstrators, including Mr. Awo Adeleke and Dr.

Mose Adeyemo, the Oyo APC chairman, insisted that the primary elections were conducted in accordance with party guidelines and called for the leadership to respect the declared results. They argued that recognizing Gbolagade would strengthen internal democracy and unity within the party, enhancing its electoral prospects.

Adeyemo assured that the party leadership would carefully consider the demands raised during the protest, emphasizing Gbolagade's loyalty and contributions to the APC over the past seven years.
