Oyo APC Members Demand Recognition of Gbolagad's Win

Members of the Oyo APC protested at the party's secretariat in Ibadan, urging the leadership to affirm Abiodun Gbolagad as the winner of the recent primary election for the Oluyol Federal Constituency. Gbolagad was declared the winner with 2,000 votes, significantly outpacing the incumbent, Hon.

Awo Adeleke, expressed dissatisfaction with the party's handling of the election results and emphasized the need for unity to improve the party's chances in the 2027 general elections. Oyo APC Chairman Mose Adeyemo called for calm and assured that the party leadership would review the demands to maintain peace within the party.

The APC reiterated that the list of candidates for the National Assembly seats in the 2027 elections remains unchanged, following a statement from the party's public secretary, Olawal Sadar, which addressed concerns about misinformation circulating on social media.
