Oyo FA and Pillar of Sports to Host Coaching Seminar

The Oyo State Football Association (OYSFA), in partnership with the Pillar of Sports Youth Development Foundation, is set to conduct a one-day seminar for coaches affiliated with the Association on August 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The seminar will take place at the Academy Suite, Moremi Hall, Oke Ado, Ibadan.

OYSFA Chairman, Oba Alakinleye of Akinleye, HRM Oba James Oluyemi Odeniran, stated that this initiative is part of the Association's programs aimed at enhancing leadership skills among coaches in Oyo State. The seminar will cover essential topics such as “Understanding the Laws of the Game,” “Effective strategies for managing athletes’ emotional well-being,” “Cardiac arrest in sports: prevention, emergency response and essential first aid,” and “The role of education in sports development.” Mr. Temitope Obideyi, Founder of the Pillar of Sports Youth Development Foundation, is sponsoring the event, which underscores the commitment to improving coaching standards and football development in the state.
