NPFL AGM Set for August 7, 2026, in Ibadan

Governor Seyi Makinde is set to host the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday, August 7, 2026, in Ibadan. The event will take place at the Professor Theophilus Ogunlesi Events Hall, opposite the University College Hospital.

This AGM is the league's highest decision-making forum, bringing together the NPFL Board and club representatives to review the previous season and approve policies and operational plans for the upcoming season. NPFL Chairman, Otunba Gbenga Elegbeleye, highlighted the league's achievement of maintaining a consistent calendar since the 2023/24 season, running from August to May.

He also mentioned improvements in broadcast coverage. During the meeting, NPFL Chief Operating Officer Davidson Owumi will present the technical and operational report, while GTI Asset Management will provide the financial report.

Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Wasilat Adegoke, assured that the state government has made adequate arrangements for security and planning for the event.
