FG Charges Suspects in Oyo School Kidnap Case

The Federal Government has filed charges against several suspects in connection with the kidnapping of a student and a teacher in Oyo State. The suspects, including Muhammad Sani Jibril, Moham Ibrahim Khabab, and Abdulrazak Umar, are accused of conspiracy and aiding in the kidnapping, which occurred in January and May 2026.

They face ten counts under the Terrorism Prevention Prohibition Act of 2022, including allegations of being members of Darul Salam, an affiliate of the proscribed terrorist organization Ansaru. The charges also include providing training to terrorist members and engaging in unlawful gold mining activities.

The suspects are set to appear before the Federal High Court in Abuja, where they will defend against these serious allegations.
