PAAU Appoints CSP Israel Sanni Ayegba as New Security Chief

Princ Abubakar Audu University (PAAU) in Anyigba has restructured its security system by appointing CSP Israel Sanni Ayegba as the new Chief Security Coordinator (CSC), effective immediately. This decision follows a security breach on June 11, 2026, and was approved by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, during the university's 403rd regular meeting on June 29, 2026.

The restructuring aims to strengthen security across the institution based on recommendations from a committee report. CSP Ayegba, who is the second individual to hold this position in the university's history, succeeds Major M.J.

Adama. His responsibilities include developing a comprehensive security framework and improving operational coordination to prevent future breaches.

Ayegba has 35 years of service in the Nigeria Police Force, with extensive experience in intelligence gathering and law enforcement. He holds a Master's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the Federal University Lokoja and a Bachelor's degree in Criminology and Security Studies from Kwarafa University Wukari.
