Truck Crashes into Gombe Government House Gate

On Tuesday, around 12:55 PM, a truck loaded with sand crashed into the main gate of the Gombe Government House, which is currently undergoing extensive renovations. The incident caused significant damage to the newly installed gate, which is part of a multi-million naira infrastructural project.

Eyewitnesses reported that the truck appeared to be approaching at high speed when the driver lost control, veering off the road and hitting the gate. Traders Musa Abdullahi and motorcyclist Ibrahim Sadiq were present during the incident, which prompted panic among nearby pedestrians.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported, although the driver sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment. The truck is alleged to belong to Tricata Nigeria Ltd, although its registration number was not immediately available.

Ismaila Misilli, the Director General of Press Affairs at the Gombe Government House, confirmed that there were no fatalities and expressed gratitude for the lack of loss of life.
