Panic in Aba as Suspected Bomb Unearthed in Church Compound, Over 100 Evacuated

In Aba, panic erupted when a suspected bomb was found within the Evangel Church compound in Eher Umuola Ogbor Hill. Church members unearthed a large metal object while digging near the parsonage, prompting the evacuation of around 100 individuals.

The priest, Rev. Thompson Ikpeoha, alerted military units in the city, leading to the safe removal of the potentially deadly object.

Eyewitnesses expressed relief that the object did not explode, averting a potential tragedy. The incident caused the destruction of at least 100 buildings in the area, impacting traders and passersby.
