North Central APC Forum Raises Alarm Over Primaries

The North Central APC Forum has expressed alarm regarding the commercialization of the APC primaries, scheduled for May 15, 2026, which have now been postponed to May 16, 2026, with no reason provided for the shift. The forum's chairman, Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga, noted that the postponement is a direct consequence of the monetization process, which undermines the integrity of the primaries.

They condemned the actions of party officials who allegedly collect money from aspirants in exchange for promises of APC tickets for the upcoming general elections. The forum emphasized the need for free and fair primaries, aligning with President Bola Tinubu's call for unity and sportsmanship among party members.

They warned that the current situation could destabilize the party ahead of the 2027 general elections and urged the national office to take action against the commercialization of the primaries, which they believe compromises the electoral process.
