Pastor Arrested for Defrauding Fellowship Members N2.5m

Kehinde Makinde, popularly known as Pastor Kenny, was arrested by the Ogun State Police Command in Ibadan, Oyo State, for allegedly defrauding 18 members of a fellowship in Saje, Adatan, out of N2.5 million. The arrest occurred on August 3, 2026, following four months of surveillance and intelligence gathering.

Makinde is accused of misleading victims by falsely claiming to organize a government-sponsored pilgrimage to Jerusalem and promising each member N2 million. Additionally, he is alleged to have manipulated unsuspecting individuals under the guise of providing spiritual deliverance across Ogun, Oyo, and Osun states.

The police spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi, confirmed that Makinde remains in custody as efforts are ongoing to identify more victims and apprehend any accomplices involved in the fraudulent activities.
