PDP Sets N4m Fee for Gombe Bye-Election Aspirants

Aspirants for the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency bye-election in Gombe State are required to pay a total of N4 million to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a pre-qualification fee. This fee includes N1 million for the Expression of Interest Form and N3 million for the Nomination Form.

Concurrently, aspirants for four recently restored State House of Assembly seats in Delta and Kogi States will pay N3 million each, which also covers the expression of interest and nomination forms. The constituencies in Delta State are Abraka, Isoko-North II, and Ughelli-South II, while Kogi has Yagba-West II.

Hon Umar Nature, the National Organising Secretary of the PDP, stated that these constituencies were restored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following court judgments. Primaries for these elections are scheduled for Sunday, 23 August, with appeals on 24 August.

The restoration process began on 1 August 2026, addressing long-standing grievances regarding representation in these areas.
