PDP Governorship Aspirant Urges Founding Fathers and BoT to Intervene in Leadership Crisis

David Vaughan, a governorship aspirant in Lagos State for the 2023 elections, has called on the People's Democratic Party (PDP) founding fathers and Board of Trustees (BoT) to address the leadership crisis within the party. Vaughan emphasized the urgent need for intervention to resolve internal disputes and factional struggles that could weaken the party's chances in the upcoming 2023 and 2027 elections.

He warned that failure to manage the crisis could cost the party victory in the 2023 presidential election. Vaughan highlighted the importance of unity within the party and criticized factional infighting among members, citing the detrimental impact on the party's political prospects.

He urged the BoT to rise above personal interests and work together to find a solution to the current leadership challenges. Additionally, loyalists of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, were mentioned as continuing to be polarizing figures within the party.
