PDP Leaders Makarfi and Lamido Hold Peace Talks Ahead of 2027 Elections

Former Kaduna State Governor Ahmed Makarfi and former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido held a closed-door meeting at Makarfi's residence in Kaduna to discuss reconciling and uniting the People's Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2027 elections. The leaders emphasized the need for the party to address internal challenges, promote democracy, and strengthen its position as a credible political force in Nigeria.

They highlighted the importance of loyalty to democratic principles, unity, and rebuilding trust among party members. Lamido expressed concerns about the state of the country, including insecurity, economic hardships, corruption, and health issues, stressing the need for a united political front to address these challenges.
