PDP Inaugurates New Ebonyi State Working Committee

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) officially inaugurated its newly-elected State Working Committee (SWC) members in Ebonyi, with Hon. Chukwuma Igwe as the new state chairman.

The inauguration occurred on Friday at the PDP secretariat located at Km 8 Abakaliki, Enugu Expressway, and was marked by a large turnout of party members. The event was conducted under the supervision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure a peaceful process, with security operations in place to prevent any incidents.

Barr. Ukpai Ukairo, who chaired the seven-man congress committee, announced the adoption of a consensus method for electing the new leadership to minimize internal conflicts.

He emphasized the need for the new leadership to work diligently to revitalize the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. Other newly elected members include Chief Chri Elechi Ngwuta as deputy chairman and Princ Kigslei Igw as treasurer, among others.
