PDP Supporters Protest in Ekiti Over Removal of Governorship Candidate from INEC Portal

PDP supporters in Ekiti staged a peaceful protest at the INEC office demanding answers for the unexplained removal of Dr. Wole Oluyede, the party's governorship candidate, from the INEC portal.

The protesters expressed concerns over the lack of transparency and due process in the electoral body's actions, raising fears and questions among party members and sympathizers. INEC's legal department in Ekiti promised to provide an explanation for the removal.

Dr. Oluyede's omission from the initial list of candidates released by INEC has caused tension within the PDP ahead of the 2026 Ekiti State elections.
