Galadima Critiques APC Over Alleged ₦500 Billion Theft

Buba Galadima, a chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), publicly criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the National Assembly (NASS) during an appearance on Channels Television's Politics Today. He accused the APC-led government of permitting individuals accused of stealing ₦500 billion of taxpayers' money to preside over the nation's destiny.

Galadima questioned the integrity of lawmakers supporting the electoral act amendment bill, suggesting that the APC is fearful of facing free and fair elections despite having significant gubernatorial power across the country. He further accused the APC-led government of stifling opposition and free speech, citing the detention of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai and former Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami.

Galadima challenged members of the ruling party to swear on the Quran or Bible that they have not committed serious crimes, specifically referencing Malami and El-Rufai.
