Obidient Movement Critiques Tinubu Over Petrol Prices

The Obidient Movement Worldwide has publicly condemned President Bola Tinubu's administration for the escalating petrol prices in Nigeria, stating that "people are really suffering." The movement's national coordinator, Yunusa Tanko, emphasized the need for the federal government to protect Nigerians from the adverse impacts of rising petrol prices. This criticism follows remarks made by Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, regarding price control of petroleum products amidst the volatile global oil market, which has been exacerbated by tensions in the Middle East.

Tanko urged the government to communicate honestly with the populace, asserting that the lack of effective communication has left citizens unprepared for unforeseen circumstances.
