He also addressed ongoing claims from fellow actors, particularly Yemi Solade, who stated he began acting before Edochie while acknowledging Edochie as a senior colleague. Edochie did not mention Solade by name but issued an open challenge regarding professional comparisons.

He referenced MGM's evaluation of filming efforts in Africa, noting that only he and John Kani were recognized. Edochie shared his early experiences in acting, recalling his participation in "Merchant of Venice" at the age of 15.
