Segalink Critiques Peter Obi's Leadership Qualities

Segun Awosanya, a prominent human rights activist, expressed his views on Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). In an interview, Awosanya stated that Obi lacks the essential leadership qualities needed to govern Nigeria effectively.

He accused Obi of building political influence around public frustration instead of offering the kind of leadership capable of uniting the country. Awosanya described Obi's political support base as a "mob," suggesting that it is driven by outrage rather than substantive political engagement.

He dismissed the notion that his criticism of Obi stems from personal issues or friction with supporters of the Obi movement, asserting that he focuses on the broader implications of Obi's divisive political record. Awosanya cautioned Nigerians against accepting popular narratives on social media without critical assessment, emphasizing that viral claims can often be misleading.
