Modu-Sheriff: Peter Obi Unfit for Nigeria's Presidency

Ali Modu-Sheriff, the former governor of Borno State, expressed his belief that Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate for the 2027 elections, cannot win the presidency. Speaking in Abuja, Modu-Sheriff criticized Obi for not condemning the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and accused him of wanting to divide Nigeria.

He recounted that during Obi's governorship, he sought support from northern leaders but was rejected. Modu-Sheriff also defended Bola Tinubu, the current president, stating that he is working towards national progress and criticized Obi for pursuing a divisive agenda.

He urged Atiku Abubakar, another presidential candidate, to respect the rotation of presidency between the north and south. Modu-Sheriff reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring Tinubu's victory in the upcoming elections, emphasizing the importance of unity in Nigeria.
