Schmeichel Praises Carrick's Substitutions in United Win
Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel commended manager Michael Carrick for his impactful substitutions during the club's 3-2 Champions League victory over AS Roma at Old Trafford. Schmeichel noted the significant contributions of five players who came off the bench: Youri Tielemans, Lisandro Martínez, Shea Lacey, Matthijs de Ligt, and Mason Mount.
Manchester United, after trailing 2-0, made a remarkable comeback with goals from Bruno Fernandes and two from Matheus Cunha, securing all three points. Schmeichel contrasted Carrick's effective substitutions in this match with those made during the previous game against Chelsea, which he felt did not influence the outcome.
Following this victory, Manchester United will prepare for their next Premier League match against Aston Villa.
