HoS Denies Staff Deployment to Fake Agency PFIPC

During an investigative hearing on Wednesday, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, clarified that her office neither deployed staff to nor provided office accommodation for the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council. She stated that her office did not approve an organizational structure for the council, which had falsely claimed government recognition.

Walson-Jack explained that the only approvals granted were for an authorized establishment and a provisional recruitment waiver based on documents from the organization’s representatives. She emphasized that her office requires a letter appointing the chief executive officer and the enabling law for new agencies.

Walson-Jack noted that her office had processed similar requests from numerous federal agencies without encountering a case like this one, describing it as unprecedented in nearly a century of the Federal Civil Service. The House committee is investigating allegations that the council fraudulently presented itself as a federal agency.
