Davido Trolls Edo Governor Over WAEC Result Mockery
Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, known as Davido, reacted to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo's mockery of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke by posting what seemed to be Okpebholo’s WAEC result on social media. The post, made without a caption, was interpreted by many as a direct response to Okpebholo's comments about Governor Adeleke, who he claimed is always dancing before taking action.
The interaction garnered various reactions from Davido's followers. This incident is part of a broader political discourse surrounding the Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 8.
Additionally, former presidential aide Bashir Ahmad engaged in an online exchange with Davido, mocking him over his Grammy loss while discussing the election. Davido has been vocal in defending Governor Adeleke against critics, including a previous confrontation with NURTW chieftain MC Oluomo and remarks about former Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, whom he labeled as “the most desperate politician in the world.”.
