Davido Defends Posting Okpebholo's WAEC Results

Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, known as Davido, stated he would not apologize to Edo Governor Monday Okpebholo for sharing what he claims is Okpebholo's West African Examinations Council (WAEC) result. In an interview with News Central on Tuesday in Osun, Davido insisted he did nothing wrong and was merely informing Edo residents about their governor's academic background.

The controversy arose after Okpebholo criticized Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke during political activities leading up to the August 15 Osun State governorship election, mocking Adeleke's leadership style. In response, Davido shared the alleged WAEC result on his Instagram Story, which sparked social media reactions, including a call from commentator Tugbiyele for Davido to apologize.

Davido defended his actions, criticizing Okpebholo for his comments about Adeleke and questioning his understanding of electoral victory. He also expressed sympathy for Okpebholo's children and warned that Adeleke would respond politically when the time comes.
