Davido Banned from Edo Performance After Okpebholo Clash

Afrobeat singer Davido has been banned from performing in Edo State due to his public exchange with Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo concerning the recent election in Osun State. Okpebholo, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), criticized Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke's performance during the campaign for APC's candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, claiming Adeleke's dancing skills distracted him from governance.

In retaliation, Davido mocked Okpebholo's academic performance by sharing his WAEC result on Instagram. Following Adeleke's victory, Davido stated in an interview with News Central that he would not apologize to Okpebholo, asserting that the governor does not have the right to criticize a sitting governor who is performing better.

Additionally, Davido challenged Okpebholo in an open letter on Instagram, indicating he is prepared for further confrontation.
