Atiku Abubakar Condoles Rotimi Amaechi Over Mother's Death

On Thursday, October 5, 2023, Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), visited his running mate, former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, at his Abuja residence to express condolences after the death of Amaechi’s mother, Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi. Accompanied by members of his team, Atiku aimed to sympathize with Amaechi and his family during this difficult time.

This visit followed an earlier message of condolence sent by Atiku shortly after the announcement of the death. Since the passing of Dame Ezinne, Amaechi has received condolences from numerous political figures, including former Senate President David Mark, Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese Matthew Hassan Kukah, and others.

Notably, former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi also visited Amaechi and his wife, Dame Judith Amaechi, to offer his sympathies. President Bola Tinubu also expressed his condolences, recognizing Dame Ezinne's contributions to faith and community service.
