Pochettino Demands Chelsea's 2016-17 Title Be Revoked

Mauricio Pochettino has publicly called for Chelsea to be stripped of their 2016-17 Premier League title, suggesting that the trophy should be awarded to Tottenham due to Chelsea's financial rule breaches. Chelsea was fined £10 million by the Football Association in July and received a suspended two-window transfer ban for multiple violations during the Roman Abramovich era.

Additionally, the Premier League fined Chelsea £10.75 million in March for breaches involving unlicensed agents and attempts to conceal transfer details from 2009 to 2022. Pochettino, who managed Tottenham during that season, stated that Chelsea gained an unfair advantage, which affected Tottenham's ability to compete.

He emphasized that if Chelsea admitted to breaking the rules, the title should be awarded to the second-placed team, Tottenham. Pochettino acknowledged Chelsea's performance under Antonio Conte but insisted that the rules must be applied equally across all clubs.
