18-Year-Old Arrested for Vandalizing Third Mainland Bridge

On April 6, 2026, at 17:30 hours, the Lagos State Police Command's Rapid Response Squad arrested an 18-year-old suspect named Dogara John for allegedly vandalizing road safety installations on the Third Mainland Bridge. The police reported that John was caught tampering with reflective road studs, which are crucial for guiding motorists, especially during poor weather conditions at night.

Following his apprehension, officers recovered 20 items in his possession that were identified as stolen road safety installations. The police emphasized the importance of these installations in helping drivers navigate safely and reducing the risk of accidents on this busy route.
